Yousef Algherbawi is a Palestinian researcher and academic specializing in law. He is also a certified legal arbitrator. HeĀ holds a Ph.D. from Alexandria University and is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Law at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. His research focuses on private law in its various branches, examining the principles of justice, the rule of law, and equality.
Algherbawi has held many administrative and academic positions at Al-Azhar University, including Head of the Private Law Department at the Faculty of Law, Dean of Student Affairs, Head of the Disciplinary Council, Member of Legal Affairs, and Chairman and Member of many committees.
He has participated in many conferences and workshops locally and internationally and has supervised many graduate students' theses in various Palestinian universities. He also has a robust publications record, including two books on evidence law, two books on Palestinian labor law, a book on practical legal claims arising from labor disputes and the method of calculating compensation to workers for their labor rights, and a book on alleging fraud before civil courts and means of reducing it. In addition, he has published research on contract transformation, customary contracts, letters of guarantee contained in subcontract works, and electronic bond deposits.
Algherbawi also prepared critical studies of some Palestinian laws with the aim of calling for their development and keeping pace with development, especially in regard to electronic transactions law.
