The Crisis in Sudan
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has displaced more than nine million people, including students and scholars, and destroyed critical infrastructure, including universities, schools, museums, and heritage sites. In this MESA Annual Meeting special session on November 13, 2024, participants examined the complexities and repercussions of the crisis. Dr. Marie Grace Brown of the University of Kansas and Dr. Eve-Troutt Powell of the University of Pennsylvania chaired the event.
