Islamism and Urban Politics
On April 30, 2021, Cornell University's Institute for European Studies hosted Utku Balaban of Amherst College, who spoke on the relationship between postwar urban growth and Islamic revivalism in Turkey. Pamela Karimi (University of Massachusetts Dartmouth) and Ijlal Muzaffar (Rhode Island School of Design) served as discussants.
