
Dr. Khalid Al-Qeeq is a Palestinian scholar of criminal law, media law, and human rights. He holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Law from Cairo University and has taught at several Palestinian universities, including the Arab American University, Al-Israa University, the University of Palestine, Gaza University, Palestine Open University, Al-Quds University, and Hebron University. He has also supervised master’s theses at Al-Istiqlal University and has been affiliated with international academic initiatives, including a research fellowship at Cardiff University, United Kingdom. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Al-Qeeq worked as a television presenter and program producer at Palestine TV, where he hosted his own program, Ma‘a Al-Shabab (“With the Youth”), focusing on legal awareness, youth issues, and freedom of expression. His research focuses on freedom of expression, legal protection of journalists, cybercrime, media regulation, criminal justice, and human rights. He is the author of several books and scholarly publications on media legislation, emerging crimes, internet crimes, and press freedoms. Since 2013, he has served as a legal advisor to the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate and has led initiatives dedicated to defending journalists’ rights and promoting legal awareness within Palestinian society.
