
Dr. Hussein Abdullah Saad is an Assistant Professor of Media and Communication at Al-Quds Open University in Gaza, Palestine, where he serves as Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Media Institutions Management, He holds a Ph.D, in Media Studies from Helwan University, Egypt, specializing in Advertising, Marketing Communication, Radio, and Television.
His research focuses on digital media, journalism, media literacy, public opinion, digital communication, artificial intelligence in media, and communication in conflict and crisis contexts, His recent scholarship examines the effects of war coverage, social media platforms, and geopolitical conflicts on public perceptions, media consumption, and psychological well-being in Palestine and the Arab region.
Dr. Saad has authored and co-authored academic books, published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to media and information literacy initiatives in cooperation with UNESCO, and supervised graduate research in media and communication, Living and working in Gaza, his academic and professional work explores the intersection of media, society, technology, and resilience in contexts of conflict, social change, and digital transformation.
