Dr. Hanan Aklouk Shurrab is an Associate Professor of Media and Communication at the University of Palestine, Gaza. She is currently a Visiting Researcher at Tampere University, Finland, where she is conducting research on media and crisis communication during the Gaza War. Previously, she served as Dean of the School of Communication and Information Technology and Director of External Affairs and Public Relations at the University of Palestine. Her research focuses on digital journalism, social media activism, political communication, crisis communication, and media representations of conflict, with particular attention to Gaza and humanitarian crises.
