Populism and Turkey: Domestic and Foreign Dimensions

The Middle East and Islamic Studies Program at George Mason University hosted an online event with Evren Altinkas (University of Guelph) and Nihat Celik (San Diego State University) on April 28 on “Populism and Turkey: Domestic and Foreign Dimensions.” The speakers addressed the foreign policy dimensions of the current government from a historical and comparative perspective. They also addressed domestic politics and the impact of the AKP on the governing bureaucracy.
