On October 27, 2023, the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin hosted Dr. Ramin Mansoori of the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Bashir Mobashir of Penn State University, and Dr. Shamshad Pasarlay of the University of Chicago for a paper workshop on Afghan governance and the rule of law. Dr. Jason Brownlee of UT Austin served as moderator and Dr. Eva Bellin of Brandeis University served as discussant.
