Asli Bali
Bali is Professor of Law at Yale Law School and President of MESA. She was previously Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law, Faculty Director of the UCLA Law Promise Institute for Human Rights, and Director of the UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies. Bali also chairs MESA’s Task Force on Civil and Human Rights.
Beth Baron
Baron is Distinguished Professor, Department of History, The City College and Graduate Center, City University of New York. She also serves as Director of the Graduate Center’s Middle East and Middle Eastern American Center. Baron is a former president of MESA and former editor of the International Journal of Middle East Studies.

Igsiz is Associate Professor of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University.
Mimi Kirk
Kirk is Global Academy’s Program Manager and Adjunct Faculty at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University. She previously served as Managing Director of Al-Shabaka, The Palestinian Policy Network.
Arzoo Osanloo
Osanloo is Professor in the Department of Law, Societies, and Justice at the University of Washington and a member of MESA's Board.
Judith Tucker
Tucker is Professor Emerita of History at Georgetown University. She previously served as Director of Georgetown’s Master of Arts in Arab Studies Program. Tucker is a past president of MESA and former editor of the International Journal of Middle East Studies.
